When Miriam became a Stephen Minister and began to walk alongside others; she realized that she was only there to remind people of the promises God has made to us. Jesus is the one who does the healing.
Miriam even needed a Stephen Minister at one point, and she was comforted by the companion who walked with her and reminded her about the promises of God.
