Women's Update May 2021

    Fellowship Sisters,

Let me encourage you that those who wait upon the Lord will renew their strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

Isaiah encourages us in this passage to wait upon the Lord. As I look back on this past year, I have realized how bad I am at waiting. Please tell me I'm not the only one! ;) The Hebrew meaning of the word wait means to look for, hope, to expect. What do you expect God will do? How are you living with expectation that God will do what He said He would do?

There has been A LOT of unexpected things that occurred over the past couple of years but we can put our faith in God and His promises; because the Holy Spirit is living and working in us; we can do the unthinkable. Our strength can be renewed when we have no strength. We can soar like eagles when we have hit rock bottom. We can run and not grow weary. Man, I do not know about you but I want to SOAR. I want to wait on the Lord and live with expectation that He is who He said He is.

This past week, we wrapped up our Bible Study series on the Study of Elijah. And let me just tell you, it was truly a treasure to journey alongside women and see the power of the Holy Spirit at work. To encourage you, I want to share some transformation stories that were shared in our last session. Will you celebrate these God stories with me?!

I was convicted about my prayer life and not asking and seeking God in the little and big things.
I am grateful that God still has a place for me in His plan regardless of my failure.
More grateful for God's redemptive and healing plans. Relieved knowing the battle is God's.

Yes and Amen. I am so thankful for the work the Lord is doing in and among us. He is good! I am praying with expectation that the Lord will continue to move during our Summer Nights event series kicking off in June. Can I invite you to pray alongside me that 1). God will draw us closer to Himself and 2). God will draw us closer to each other? I am believing that He will do what only He can do and I'm inviting you to partner with me in praying.

Wait on the Lord, my sister--and soar!
    Blessings,
    Karie
