Women's Update April 2021

Sisters, today is not just a good Friday, it is GOOD FRIDAY! This is a time where we celebrate the gospel--the good news of Jesus and the power of His death, burial, and resurrection. It is because of Jesus and the blood He shed on the cross of Calvary that we have life in Him. We have so much to celebrate not just today but everyday because He is ALIVE and because of that our Hope remains.

It gives me chills just thinking about Jesus and His undeniable love for us that He willingly gave up His life so that we could be redeemed back into a right relationship with Him. It leaves me in awe of the One who looks at me and calls me His Beloved daughter. I'm reminded of one of my favorite songs that sings:

    One final breath He gave
    As heaven looked away
The Son of God was laid in darkness
    A battle in the grave
The war on death was waged
The power of hell forever broken

    Forever, He is Glorified
    Forever, He is Lifted High
    Forever, He is Risen
He is Alive, He is Alive

    He is alive, sisters! Hallelujah.

Today we have a couple of Good Friday experiences for you to take advantage of. The Pathway to the Cross Communion experience will take place outside on the Green beside the Student Center. No pre-registration is needed. The Pathway to the Cross online Communion experience will stream live on our website at the top of each hour from noon until 8pm. It will also stream live on Facebook and YouTube at noon. For more information on these experiences, please connect with us on our website.

In a couple of weeks, a new discipleship ministry will kick-off on Wednesday, April 14 called Re:Gen. Re:generation is a 12-step discipleship process, oriented around life change and hope through the application of God's word. For more information and to register, please connect with us on our website. It's a ministry open to everyone as we deal with the impacts of sin in this world and it is an invitation to come find recovery in Jesus Christ!

It is because of Jesus and the work He did on the cross that we can sing together: He is Alive, He is Alive!
    Blessings,
    Karie
